Hamla Tefot Wala Had Yemot  in a Play Reading at the BA

Alexandria— The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in Arabic on Wednesday, 31 December 2008. Participants will read  Hamla Tefot Wala Had Yemot  (A Military Expedition Passed, No Harm Caused) by Noaman Ashour. 
The play events take place in Cairo during the period from 1798 to 1801; the period of the French expedition to Egypt, led by Napoleon Bonaparte. The play opens by the occupation of Alexandria by the French troops and closes by their defeat in Abukir. Throughout the play, resistance to occupation is depicted, in addition to the recording of the historian Al-Jabarti to the events that he witnessed himself. 
The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
