The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is participating in the Current Research in Egyptology (CRE) Conference, which is being held for the first time in Egypt and hosted by Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) from 7 to 11 September 2025. This conference is one of the most prominent international scientific forums in the field of ancient Egyptian archaeology in its various specialities, as it aims to examine and discuss the latest research and discoveries related to Egypt's history, antiquities, and ancient civilization.
The conference's scientific program includes specialized sessions and research papers highlighting developments in Egyptology, as well as scientific discussions that open up broader horizons for academic and research collaboration.
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is co-sponsoring the conference by offering a series of scientific awards to distinguished researchers, presenting a selection of its scientific publications in the field of heritage, organizing a free visit to its premises to introduce participants to its services and wealth of knowledge and culture. It will also organize a workshop on heritage to raise awareness of the value of the ancient Egyptian civilization and its role in enriching cultural identity through its Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT).
In addition, a distinguished group of researchers from the Library’s Writing and Scripts Center and the Coptic Studies Center will take part in the conference with research papers and a book display showcasing the latest BA publications in heritage and Egyptology.
